Mini Sub-Station Plinth

An electrical contractor has three major problems in this area. These are:

  1. He is not organised to deal with concrete and shuttering on a large contract.
  2. He cannot get into the trench to compact under the mini-sub.
  3. He does not have the time or the equipment.

The result is the eventual subsidence of the concrete foundation under the large mass of the mini-sub and therefore an unsightly tilted structure. Precast units are an economical solution to these problems.

Lack of standardisation by the manufacturers of electrical equipment does, however, pose a problem for the precast concrete suppliers.
The following range of plinths and bases has been built up over the years and is o ffered to him to be used at his discretion.
